hello
Was thinking of getting some 155 16" wheels (off widebody sportpack car - black ones). I've seen them on 33s before and they look good (even better when painted silver) but I wondered if they fit ok and don't cause any problems.
I think with 205/40/16 tyres, the rolling radius and therefore speedo readings should be as standard (or very close anyway). Is it likely that this width of tyre will rub anywhere? i don't want to mess about rolling arches as that will promote rust and 33s don't need any help in that direction!!
Thanks |

it will fit, also with 215/40/16
you have to use spacers of 10mm

wow! Those wheels look awesome! Thats a really nice looking 33 - is that an aftermarket front bumper?
Are you using 205 or 215 tyres? Do they rub on the wheel arches at all? |

Hi
Suspect they will just need boring out slightly in the centre (0.5mm I think) and some spacers to get the offset right again.
By the way we have those wheels on our 155. They bend very easily. The chances of getting a set that are truely straight 2nd hand are virtually nil. We bought a brand new one (black ones are the cheapest colour, and as they would need to get painted to match the other 3 we bought the cheapest ones ) and that was slightly out of round within a couple of months.
All the best

Hi, the wheels might look good but 16 inch doesn't fit well on the 33. Expect a bit of rubbing of wheels after locking steering wheel and power steering is designed just nice for 14. Even with 15, you might experience some slight steering noises when turning the car stationary. Do try it out before embarking.
Good luck. _________________ Each time I speed I say, "Dear lord, make me fast and accurate..." |
