Got a bit of money coming my way and am interested to find out what I can do to my 16v for bigger power.

Has anyone supercharged or put their 16v on throttle bodies. Details and info on where to get parts and exactly what has to be done for the conversion would be appreciated!

Considering my engine has less than 50k on it and it still VERY strong, I think this would be a great project.

I know having more power on FWD is a problem due to traction so was wondering if I could do a p4 conversion? Would be grateful if anyone could provide me with any info on these subjects. Excuse the lack of technical talk, I am a bit new to all this.

Hope you are all well.

Regards

Matthew

AhMotorsports do lots of tuning stuff for 33s - they do a throttle body kit for about £1300 I think (www.ahmotorsports.co.uk).

If you're thinking of a supercharger, I have seen this done before and I'm sure someone on this forum will be able to help. If you're after one now, there's someone on the alfa145 forum who has one for sale at £150 (www.alfa145.com for sale section) - I believe its off a mini cooper.

With regards to the P4 conversion, I don't think this will be possible as I think the P4 bodyshell is slightly different and the propshaft won't fit on a 2wd car. I'm sure a good suspension set up and an LSD will be able to transmit all the power (an Alfa 147 GTA has 250bhp going through the frony wheels and they seem to work ok.

Hope that helps
