Hi folks, been away a long while as life has been one truly hectic ride last few months, but in rare moment of calm I'm getting the sportywagon ready for winter.
I have an adjuster for the drivers side that has the little stainless bit complete, but the other side is incomplete which would explain the chronic handbrake travel and long footbrake....
Anyone have one of these to sell? Or know where I'd get them new? Cheers

Cheers for reply paul. I think the n/s one has a reverse thread, where as the off side one does not. PM with how much you want for it inc postage if it is good, then i could have a braking system without the idiot warning light! This would be a first |

Hi Corin I've actually found two of the adjusters, but one is missing a tiny bit of metal which locates in the teeth to stop it returning once it is twisted and this one's thread is reverse so I assume that it is unfortunately the side you were after??? If you pm me an email address I could send a photo. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

that'll be the one i need then. never mind. cheers for looking anyhow, have just fitted new pads to front after motor factors messing for a week then finding they had the right set in stock anyhow
have fitted one good adjuster with small metal plate to offside, and manually turned offside adjuster till adjusted correctly, handbrake now goes from 3 o clock to 2 o clock instead of 12...
about to take her out and see what improvement i've got, getting a creak from front drivers side as well, bushes look ok so will require more serious effort to diagnose, will leave that for a while....
Cheers again

So sorry. Good luck. Will let you know if I find another adjuster or just the small metal plate. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV
