Hi Having a few problems with car it wouldn't start so called Green Flag out. After a can of DW40 got it going, a mile down the road it died again and had to take to a local garage.
The garage have had it six weeks now! and don't seem to any nearer to fixing it Crying or Very sad They told me there is no spark and it was either the ECU or Crank sensor. I got hold of a second hand ECU and a RPM Timing sensor (Hope that is the Crank sensor) but still no luck although the garage said that there was some water under the dash around the ECU! Just wondered if anyone has had a similar problem

any help would be great cheers

Hi

I had a similar problem with my P4 when it was unused for a while. Took ages to get it started as it would happily crank over. Problem turned out to be one of the relays in the engine bay (by the battery) that provides power to the ignition / injection system.

All the best

Keith

Hi

Afraid not. To initially locate them get someone to turn the ignition on while you listen / feel for the ones that click.

Take it you have a copy of the wiring diagrams?

All the best

Keith
