Hi all, just picked my car up from Ahm after a belt and tension-er pulley change , along with a little more mods, a Quaife limited slip differential Shocked

, Its quite a bit different in the corners with the 10 mins i got to throwing it around, the power going around the corners is staggering , i didn't realise just how much hp you lose with the original one. The only bad thing i noticed was my fuel tank has a tiny leak on the underside so I'm off at the weekend to see our friend Paul who has a spare one. Top chap.

Did AHM rebuild the box or anything at the same time as changing the diff? I bet the bill made your eyes water.

I was contemplating a re-build but at 6 hrs labour and 2 syncro meshes ,and g/box main bearings I held back on the finances seeing the alloy tensioner pullys (for the belts) cost abit. But to be fair Adie's rates are better than any other Alfa specialist and to me trust is 50% of the battle when submitting your pride and joy to someone to work on. I only wish I had a garage alot of the work I could do myself, anyway I may(hopefully) move house next year and my only requirement to the wife was a garage for the 33. I have to admit the more work done to the car I feel I need a museum!! Laughing

Well my wide arch kit turned up last week so the car is going to a body shop this week to be fitted, at this rate I might get it back by xmas. If any one is interested the ex-nick humphrey race wide arch kit is available from Alfa panels, Bob Wright is the man to speak too.

Hi Lda , I have had a good drive down to Paul's (140 mile round trip)a few weeks back, it was a good run when I pulled off the motorway and took to the twisty stuff around the back of Horsham to Guildford. The torque steer when accelerating through the corners is quite imense....well the first time I tried it I became aware that 2 hands are needed on the wheel as it wants to pull straight with alot more force.

Also the car feels and pulls alot harder as I have been told you can loose up to 10 percent power to the wheels from the standard one, oh its a Quaife unit and is supposed to be better for roads and track rather than a full blown race unit.
