Hi Arjan
I agree with sergio , mint car and the best wheels I have seen. What size are the wheels and tyres? They look to have quite a bit of offset, is this so and how does it effect your steering?

Hi Eddy, thnx.
Those are 15" wheels, tyre-size is 195/50-15.
The tyres are Pirelli's.
Hmm........can't say that it affects my steering, oh well....kinda hard to say because these QV's have powersteering.

Same size rims/rubber as ours. The lowering makes all the difference, ours is only lower on the back tho'. - Is yours lowered all round?

Hi, mine is lowered all round.
Had a QV from a friend next to me for comparison.

Ciao, Arjan.

Yeah, I've always liked those Ronal A1 wheels.

But I think they look much better on a Sprint Very Happy

There seem to be lots of Suds and Sprints that I've seen those wheels on cars from Germany and other Continental countries. Maybe they didn't sell many here.

I've never seen silver ones though. They're usually painted white. I've only seen silver ones with five studs, for Alfetta Coupes and 75's.

Those Ronal A1s are quite easy to come by at the moment here in Holland. This wasn't the case a few years ago and I presume a lot have since been (unprofessionally) refurbished.

I was initially looking for such as set, but decided to hunt for something a little different. First I tried to find some (optional) 15" Alessio Turbos, which were fitted to the P4 in 14" guise. Then I found the mint Speedlines in nearby Eindhoven for a knockdown price. I couldn't resist and the rest is history!

Those wheels on your car look really nice, but they wouldn't suit a Sprint or 33 s2.

I was watching an auction for some of those on eBay recently. I would have bought them for a future Alfa 155 when I put the Sprint into weekend-only service, but the bidding went far too high at over 200 quid.

I knocked mine down to 300 euros, but they are really immaculate. The insides cleaned up easily after treating with wheel-cleaner.

I agree that the Super wheels wouldn't suit a Sprint or an earlier 33. The Ronals are the wheels to go for in this case, but decent examples of other original models can look great too.

Hi Eddie, i can say it makes a difference.
The car really sticks to the ground with these tires.

Oh yes does it grip! To state the obvious - more rubber on the road.

But having said that, I havent tried 185s, so cant give a definative answer.

Hey Dreamracers,

Well it's not that obvious as in theory there is no more rubber on the road, your car weighs the same therefore displaces the same amount of tyre... they difference is the contact patch shape static and dynamic (i.e. when you are turning corners hard)

jez Very Happy Wink
