There seem to be two different brands of superchip for the 16V - the Squadra and the Autodelta.

Is there much of a difference between these two chips and if so what is it? Does anybody have either of these and can they tell what difference it made to performance etc.?

The chip in my P4 project is an autodelta (now called Forza Tuning for a host of complicated legal reasons, that Jano is not happy with).

However, it was rewritten for the cams that came with it. Further more, i still haven't driven it yet, as the car is still waiting for head, valves, and big end shell bearings (Estimates around the first week of september are rumoured) so I can't pass an opinion on them either way.

I don't think it makes much difference to performance, but Jano's prices have always been a little 'If you have to ask, you can't afford...' I would guess the squadra would be cheaper, with very little difference in performance.

Any way the whole autodelta/Forza thing is 'interesting'. The original Autodelta team was the official works alfa team, and raced the GTAs in the sixties/seventies, etc. Money not being good, they stopped, and one Jano bought/borrowed the name for his own tuning business, based in Park Royal, North London. However, there appears there was a clause in the alfa ownership of 'autodelta' that seemed they were happy with Jano to carry on using the name whilst they didn't need it, but, with the ETCC and the new GTAs, Alfa have brought back the Autodelta name/triangular badge for there racing division. Hence poor old Jano, who has kept the Autodelta tradition going nicely for 20+ years, is left having to give the name back to Alfa, and change all his branding. Whether he owned the name, or just 'borrowed' it, either way, I'd guess he is a little miffed.

Basically, if you see a new brand of chips from Forza Tuning, they are the same as the old Autodelta ones.
