I'm old enough to remember 2 (quite rich) kids getting commodore pets new in about '79- 80 i think.
I later worked for a 40 branch electrical retailer that actually used them as epos/tills until 1989!!- when they sold out to Rumbelows.

Hey that's windows xp you're running on that Pet!!
Looks cool. I think the tiny screen might hack me off after a while though.

had problems, i was signed in, went to look at the general section and kept getting sent back to the welcome screen, eventually got to reply to a post and it didn't upload, the address bar was full of ///////////
Hope that helps.
This is a clean install of xp from a backup image btw, so is virginal with all updates, using IE8

Hi
Problem isn't your machine I don't think. It seems to lose the session id, and to try and stop you logging out it bounces you to the front page.
I still can't see what is causing to lose the session ids.

lol, yer i know its not my pc, its a clean install in effect, i was saying it to prevent other people from suggesting it you know who i mean
22:22 i was logged in and clicked on the general link and got taken back to the welcome screen.

Could not connect to the database
after updating a post and trying to send, then got the "default" web address with loads of //// at the end
Than got sent to the main welcome page

It has started happening to me also, when the computer is at full chat (mainly blasted AVG downloads) and I am doing things in other windows.

Hi
Still not seen a pattern to it. Sometimes it works fine for ages, other times it causes a problem immediatly. Worse is that I have a couple of other phpBB boards on the same web space and they do not suffer from the problem.

Those other boards don't have Alan on them though do they?!

When it breaks, I just click back and do the action again! Not really caused me a problem above and beyond that!
I make sure I copy my post to clipboard before submitting though.  Just in case!
