OK, I'm proably going to attend to my throttle bodies this weekend.
Where is the best place to drain the coolant from so that I don't get coolant in the heads? _________________ '93 Black 33 1.7 16v |

Drain via the bottom rad hose first as Paul said, then drain each cylinder head individually via the drain plugs on their bottom surfaces (from under the car).
There are bolts with similar heads to those on the drain plugs; the drain plugs are the ones with washers under them.
After you remove the drain plugs you might need to poke a bit of wire in and wiggle it to remove built up rust before the water will run out, if they haven't been removed for a while. _________________ Dick Flower, Nr. All done and unfortunately the problem is still there.
As with all big jobs I could convince myself it is better but only maybe.
So, might next candidate for low speed misfire are:
Injectors
The sensor on the side of the air filter side TB, is this the MAP sensor?

The sensor is the throttle position switch.
You could initially try unplugging it to see what happens, and then they can be adjusted. Search on here as there should be posts about how to set them up.
From memory the little bolts on the throttle position switch are tricky to get to and get easily dropped inside the cambelt cover, so worth blocking the gap/s with rag/s. I think i replaced the little bolts with items that had a phillips screw head instead of the hex head.

Just back from a mighty VdGG in London.
What happens if you unplug the throttle sensor, does the car still run but the ecu has less information to work with? _________________ '93 Black 33 1.7 16v |
