Been trying a variety of oil filters available here in Uruguay for my 8v boxer. Haven't found one I've been happy with yet. Just one more model left Mann W713/16 ( I found one but had rust on the inside!!!).
All of the Mann and Fiaam filters that come from Brazil or Argentina only have 1 anti-drain valve and they are rubbish.
Fitted a Fiaam 5065 last week, nice long size for good filtration, anti-drain valve and bypass valve. Had good expectations.
Took about 4-500 ml of oil to fill the filter up. all ok on max line after a short idle.
3 days later the oil sump was 1/2 liter over the max line so obviously the 'anti-drain' valve was not working properly.
Maybe that's why the good OE filters in Europe have 2 x valves.
Looks like i may have to buy on ebay.
