Hi from Greece,
Welcome to the alfist team of the legendary 33 model!!!
TI stands for Tourismo Internazionale. The same as GT.
Basically it means a more equipped car including various elements like instrument panels , diagnostic readings, a more sporty look including rims, spoilers etc.
Please feel free to ask anything that you may encounter. _________________ Thanassis Gritsopoulos

HI VELOCE
Check the plug that joins the main loom to the dash loom. It`s near the brake master cyl. Aflat black plug seperate from the main wiring. The cable is shielded like an aerial so it doesn`t pick up stray signals. They often give problems at this connection.
Good luck Eddie |

Ive checked all the leads and cant find the problem.
could it be somthing wrong behind the dash? I heard it was an awkward job taking the dashboard off, so i didnt really want to try. _________________ ** alfa 33 Veloce ** |

No, taking the speedo console off on the 33 is easy, just a couple of screws. |

You need access to a continuity tester (a lot of multi meters have this facility) and check each segment of the loom right up to the tacho itself. One of my cars had a wire soldered between the point where the loom enters the back of the dash and the tacho unit itself, so there must have been a break in the printed circuit. A continuity tester would help you find such a problem. Also you can check for circuit across that plug I mentioned before.
Good luck Eddie |
