Can anyone assist ?
What is/are the standard compression ratios for a 1.7 16v engine.
I am asking as currently i have a kit/replica using a 1.5 sprint engine and gearbox.
But I am looking at installing a 1.7 16v engine and a fitting a rotrex centrifugal supercharger to that.
Possibly one or more engine spec may be better than another
Any assistance would be helpful
Sorry Ian M thanks for replying but the compression stuff I was after
was the static? compression. E.G 10:1 9.5:1 etc

I recently tested my 1.7 8v and they were all between 150 & 160 psi
