Hi everybody!

I´m pleased to see that 33 owners have a forum to help each other.

I´m about to buy a 1989 33 1.7 Quadrifoglio, but i really dont know if i should do it or not.

I tried the car and its engine is running fine! The exterior looks like new and it seems that the car have never been crased, but the interior have serious problems... im gonna have to re-do the "seats", change the "floor cover", and repair the "front panel" (sorry if those were not the words, but im from Chile and my english is a little limited)... this guy sells me the car for about US$1700. Is it worth the money???

I have pics of the car but have no ftp to post them. If i can i will do it so you can see the car.

Thanks!

US$1700 is about £1100 sterling...Not sure what car prices are like in Chile but in Great Britain that is very expensive for the age of that car even in mint condition.

Then again, the price for a quadrifoglio is often higher than that over in Holland. I take it they are quite rare cars in Chile? How many KM's does it have?

A price like that wouldn't be unheard-of in New Zealand for a tidy 33. I thought we had quite low used car prices due to all the used Japanese imports we get.
Last weekend a '94 Alfa 33 1.7ie in quite good shape sold for NZ$5490 (approx /2 = US$, /3 = GBP), the only advertising being two listings (Thurs, Sat) in the Trade & Exchange paper. I waited a day so I could check out its history, but someone else came in meantime and made the owner a better offer. Sad

Ben, have a look on trademe as there are a always a few for sale there. One guy in palmy is desperate to get rid of his '91 16v. There is also a 1.7ie for sale in Auckland which is in good nic for around $4000 if you talk her down. Good luck
