My P4 is still running, but I ams seriously thinking of making some major repairs including the four wheel drive, engine, bodywork etc.

If anyone knows some workshop/garage specialized in repairing 33 alfas in continental Europe please advise.

Thank's in advance,

Nikola P4

Hi Nikola,

not far from my home I have a alfa romeo garage which does sell new alfa's and repairs them, but actually it's kinda stuck in the 33-75-164 period. All the replacement cars they give with their clients are 33's or 75's, the two sons (who also work their) both have a P4 plus a white fulleoption one, one of them has a 75 numerata and their father has a 75QV 3.0 V6, and their mother a 164. They have clients with older alfa's all over the country cause no brand new alfa concessionary knows shit about the boxer or the old TS. So if you'd like a place where they can help you with your P4 I'd recommend them. Only thing is that I live in the west of belgium near the cost... It's european mainland but bit far away from I believe. Depends on how far you would like to go offcourse.

Regards! and do ask if you want more info.

Thank's Paul, Belgium should not be a problem once I manage to complete the finance for this repair so I could keep my P4 for many many years. At least I have never been there and I heard it is beautiful. Hope there is some cheap accomodation otuside big cities. Any good fishing there? Some trout rivers?

Do you have any clue on their possible prices? For example, how much for a paintjob including thorough body prepairing work? I am looking for some enthusiastic people I could trust.

Just a note, chances for this are below 30% now, but why sould I not prepare things just in case?

And two questions for Admin Keith:

What is Jaqcar?

What does this Alfa Arna below my name means? I don't realy mind but neither I understand.

Hi

The "Alfa Arna" bit is just a bit of a warped joke. It is a ranking based on the number of posts on the board.

Jaqcar is an Alfa dealer in Belgium I visited some years ago.

All the best

Jaqcar is indeed a quite known italian car repairing place, but also including Ferrari, Lambo's, De Tomasso etc. They have 33 stuff but far from specialised so chanse of getting your P4 fixed there isn't that big. Italia motors is similar. The place I talk about is a formal official dealer called Stefaan Vanmoerbeke. As it is a small garage they don't charge a lot. The guys running it aren't 'great lights' as we tell but they are good mechanics and they know about everything on alfa mechanics, certainly the ones from about 10 years old. And they know a lot of places where to get stuff. I've had a distributor replaced there for 120€ all included, don't really know their hour-tarrif but I can inform if you'd like. As for bodywork they work with a external body workshop as we have a lot of them in this area. Personaly I have a friend too who does very nice work for not too much money. And as we have loads and loads of british tourists at our city because of it's world war history (Ieper, maybe you know it) it shouldn't be too much troubles finding some non-expensive places to stay here. On the trout rivers I'll have to disappoint you, it's quite flat country side here (loads of racing roads off course) so I'd have to send you to the sea (30 km away) for real fishing. Allways chanse in the south of belgium to find nice fishing places.
If you'd like the exact coördinates to contact them I can give them (don't have them wright now)

Regards!

Hi Paul,

Just back from vacation.Thank you for all these informations. It is to early to bother you further, so I would realy like to organize some nice trip which would include my P4 to be young again.

So if I make it, I will contact you again. Maybe it would be the best to send me your e-mail adress to dzoli@eunet.yu. Sea is good for fishing. Are there some rocks or just sand beaches?
