I had to make a delivery in my 33 today as part of my job. When I was almost there, my ventilation fan died and my electric windows stopped working, also the lights in the electric window switches turned off. I had to park in the main street of town and leave the car with one of the windows down 3 inches, and hope any passing crooks had the good sense not to try to steal the car.
When I got home I found that the interior lights and the rear window wiper and washer and the hazard lights had also all decided to stop working. All the fuses in the fusebox were fine, and there was voltage getting to the fusebox too.
The problem turned out to be something a bit more Alfa - a loose connection between perfectly functioning fuse and fusebox due to crappy design and manufacturing standards.
Just imagine a 16-year-old drive-by-wire Alfa, with a fuse in the electric accelerator and brakes. |
