Hi

A friend of mine gave me a 1987 or 88 33 1.5 TI.
It was stopped for 3 years.
We put 5 liters of petrol, we switch on the ignition and the car fired at the first time... Smile
I drove the car to my home, and started to check thinks to see what I can use from the car...
The oil looked bad, the water was brown (very dirty), and with the car at idle speed (850 rpm), I took the the oil filler cap out and the car begin to slow, slow, slow, and it stopped...
I did it again, and it stopped again...
I think this is not normal...
What do you say about this?
Is it terminal?

Regards

Carlos Oliveira

If you richen the mixture slightly at idle you'll probably find it improves - taking the filler cap off allows more air to pass through the breather, leaning out the mixture slightly.
