Some pics from Spaitalia 2004 - the Spa-Francorchamps track was being repaired, so some sections were without proper asphalt and when I drove in the morning it was kind of wet.

On the way here to the racetrack - photo courtesey www.gummen.org

Afterwards we entered the car in the Concours d'Elegance, with Andrea Zagato as the jury's president - I even managed to get a pic of him with the 33! Smile

Andrea Zagato liked the 33!

All in all, a great day - plenty of nice Alfa's, Ferrari's, Lambo's, etc. More than 800 historical and modern cars...

Had a bit of an illegal blast along the motorway on the way back home with the Autodelta 147's and an SZ & Spider V6. Damn the SZ is quick!

The picture below was taken by someone else, but my car looks nice and red! Wink

Hi,

great event there in Spa! James, just out of curiousity: is it original paint on your car or has it been repainted? It looks great Cool

Cheers

I'd like to know that too (as the owner of a slightly pink 33!!!!) Laughing

Also, what have you used on the external trim, as that looks nice, shiny and black!

Cheerz,

Bob

And what's that primer grey Alfa with the wire wheels infront of your car in the first picture?
I probably should know. Embarassed
But I don't. Razz

@ Marcin / Bob

The paint is mostly original, and only three panels have been resprayed due to a minor parking scrape. These panels with non-original paint are the passenger side doors and rear wing. This respray work was done before I owned the car.

The bumpers and mirrors were colour-coded by a professional painter-friend of mine a few years ago, and look really fresh with no stone chips or scrapes.

The rear spoiler was second-hand - it was a perfect colour match so didn't need respraying.

@ Bob

My car was also severly pink to start off with. I used T-Cut generously and later applied Valma coloured wax. The car sits inside a heated garage and gets a new layer of wax at least every two weeks. I now use Speed Wax, which is fine for keeping the layer topped up. In the more than 5 year ownership, I have never experienced the paint deteriorating back to its pink state.

The bumpers, well, I dread to think how much stuff I've used on them! They started off in very average condition. I seem to recall first using Turtle Black Wax, than I moved on to Valma Platishine and I'm currently using a very good product called Turtle Extreme which handles the bumper trim, the tyres and the interior vinyl all in one.

@ Ben nz

That is a reasonably rare 2600 Sprint in silver metallic. It has a 6-cylinder inline engine, with 165 bhp. I drove behind it for a while on the track, but got bored so overtook it after 3 mins. John Lennon also drove one!
