My Alfa 33 does not start. There is spark on all sparkplugs but it seems very week, small and yellow, not fat and blue.
There seems to be fuel coming through as the catalysator started burning after a long attempt to start it. It started running on 2 cylinders but never more.
Anybody out there who has any idea where to start and how to eliminate sources of fault. Sad

Have you taken the distributor cap of or replaced the ht leads at all?. If not I would check the condition of the cap to see its not cracked and the rotor arm (inside the cap) is not dirty. failing that the coil lead to the coil might need swapping out. Also check your earth leads both to the chasis and to the starter motor as I have had silly issues with this, I hope this helps and good luck.

Have you definitely got the leads going to the right plugs - I once stupidly thought I knew where they went. I had got the right order, but was actually 90 degrees out. Embarassed The engine kept catching, but wouldn't start, till I realised what I'd done.
