OK
She was running really well then just stopped and dumped me at road side - can get a few revs from cold and full throttle makes a minimal difference - have 2nd 33 for spares so
Have replaced- fuel pump, fuel pump relays, air flow meter, distributor cap and leads, ignition coil, lambda will not budge but have disconnected it to see if that has an effect -it doesn't. Fuel line is not blocked, vacuum circuit ok, all electric connections in engine bay checked and cleaned.
What have I missed? |

Hi
Which engine is it? Given you mention an AFM and a cat I presume it is a 16V. Also I assume you have check the cam belts.
All the best

Yes it is a 16v and Keith you are a genius a timing/cam belt has snapped. Forgive my ignorance but is the engine likely to be damaged? - I have a spare one and could make the transplant my summer project....... |

Yes timing belt and cam belts are the same. There is a very high chance that you will have bent at least 2 valves. Which head is it and from which points to the cams rotate freely, using the "I" and "II" as reference points. It could be possible that the belt snapped with all valves closed, but highly unlikely. _________________ x2 33 16v
